MORE INFO ON SC26 anD SCinet
SC26, the International Conference for High Performance Computing, Networking, Storage, and Analysis brings together the top minds in high performance computing, network, storage, and analysis to share ideas, contributions, and advancements in HPC. Started in 1988 in Orlando, FL SC26 in Chicago, IL is expected to have over 20,000 attendees in attendance this November at the McCormick Place Conference Center. Part of SC is the SCinet network, the world’s fastest temporary network built by an entirely volunteer global team that takes one year to plan, one week to run, and one day to tear down.
SCinet not only provides internet connectivity for conference attendees, it pushes the boundaries of networking technologies and innovations through workshops, demos, and collaborative opportunities. For SC26, SCinet’s wide area network is planned to deliver 19.6 Tbps of capacity. More than 50 contributing organizations and more than 100 volunteer organizations across R&E, government, and industry make that capacity possible.
