About Us

KeystoneREN, LLC, is a subsidiary of KINBER, a Pennsylvania based non-profit 501(c)3 entity that works with communities, governments, businesses, and other non-profits to drive solutions that support digital equity and inclusion. KeystoneREN, as Pennsylvania’s statewide hub for research and education networking, leverages advanced cyberinfrastructure and researcher engagement programs and support to offer cost-effective connectivity. KeystoneREN is the only statewide Research and Education network in Pennsylvania with three core Points of Presence (PoPs) in Philadelphia, Pittsburgh, and State College.

Over 40+ research and education institutions connect to the KeystoneREN backbone including three 100G connections, multiple 10G connections and the remainder 1-10G connections. KeystoneREN connectivity to national Research and Education Networks includes 400G capable access to Internet2 and a 100G connection to ESnet, the national Energy Sciences Network.
